Three Roots Capital, a CDVCA member fund located in Tennessee, invested in Blank Beauty, a beauty-tech company that combines AI color science with a patented micro-dosing system to create precision-matched highly personalized formulations for beauty products. Blank Beauty seeks to create zero inventory waste and products made from the cleanest ingredients available. This investment, part of a $6 million Series A round, will support Blank Beauty’s growth goals by generating new job opportunities and contribute to developing an underserved community. Though not originally from Knoxville, Blank Beauty chose to establish its high-tech, high-growth operations in the heart of downtown, a federally designated low-income census tract.
